This is inspired by the lyrics of Relient k’s song “sadie hawkins dance” So, it was just any other Monday…well, thats what i thought until the best thing happened. Me and some friends were in the girls bathroom and i’d totally forgotten about the saddie hawkins dance! We were talking about who we were gonna take. So we got it all figured out and as i was walking out of the bathroom i saw him. His ears red, smiling, and playing his air guitar and fist pumping like crazy! Its actually kind of funny, the girls get to ask the guys and im thinking about asking him. Man, i hope he wears his khaki pants and that sweater i love so much! So anyway, i was sitting in class and the guy i liked was sitting behind me sleeping, so cute. It was his turn to read his paper so i turned around and rubbed his head. He jumped out of his chair and slipped on the trail of drool he left upon his desk, i pretended i didn’t notice. He marched to the front of the class and gave his speech about Robin Hood. When he finished his speech, he looked at me he smiled saying, “do you know why Robin hood steals from the rich?” I was speechless cause i didn’t want to sound stupid, he then raised his eyebrow to the class seeing if they knew. Then he said,”Because the poor have nothing worth taking” The whole class busted out laughing! Especially the kid who spits at the front..it wasn’t pretty. But depsite spitty up there i couldn’t help but admire him. I was grinning as he walked by. After class he went off to lunch. Sadly we don’t have the same lunch so i went to my classroom. I sat there thinking i have to ask him, i have to ask him now! So, i ask my teacher if i can go pee. Because i was so straight forward and a little out there with how i asked, she let me go. I was so nervous. What if he said no? He probably will…hes so out of my league. So anyways, as i was walking to his lunch thinking of something cunning to say. There he was running for some reason out of lunch. He stopped.  I stuck my hip out like i always do. I smiled, checked him out a little bit. He had sweat dripping down his head and he seemed out of breathe. I looked at him and said,”You’re smooth, and good with talking. Would you go with me to the Sadie Hawkins?” He said yes! I smiled ever so big and asked him to pick my up at 7:00 on Friday. The bell rang so i went back to class practically skipping of excitement. And after i turned that corner all i could think was he better wear his khakis and that sweater i love so much!
